17-year-old female dies on HWY 290 near Jersey Village


Update: The Harris County Sheriff’s Office recently identified the driver as Jessica Hernandez.

JERSEY VILLAGE — On Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 at approximately 11:38 p.m., a Hispanic female was operating a silver 2003 Honda Element in the 7200 block of Brittmoore Road.

The Honda traveled north across the eastbound entrance ramp of 16100 US 290 striking a concrete wall.

The driver of the Honda was transported to Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center where she was found with no signs of life.

This crash remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
