2 of 3 failed $75K robbery in jail with no bond, third suspect arrested

CYPRESS — Precinct 4 Constable’s Office investigators arrested a third suspect in connection to the violent $75,000 robbery attempt in the 23200 block of US 290, yesterday.

Shelby Taylor Wyse was arrested and charged with robbery, according to the constable’s office.

According to the constable’s office, through an extensive investigation, investigators learned she was working at the bank where the victims withdrew the $75,000 on the day of the failed robbery. Additionally she has direct ties to one of the suspects already under arrest for this violent robbery.

“All the pieces to this investigation are falling into place and we anticipate filing more criminal charges on others we believe to be involved,” said Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman. “No one will escape justice on this matter.”

Shelby Taylor Wyse has been arrested, placed into Harris County Jail, charged with second degree felony robbery.

Davis Dowell Mitchell was arrested by a Constable Deputy at the scene on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018. He is currently in jail with no bond.

Travonn Johnson turned himself in Aug. 20, 2018, after a weekend of pressure from law enforcement and media outlets. He is in jail with no bond.
