40 Cypress athletes sign letters of intent on National Signing Day 2019


CYPRESS TEXAS — Forty CFISD student-athletes signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics for colleges and universities during National Signing Day ceremonies April 17-18.

They bring the total to nearly 140 athletes signing letters of intent throughout the 2018-2019 school year.

The following CFISD athletes signed or plan to sign letters of intent:

Cy-Fair High School

  • Zach Iyeyemi, basketball – Houston Baptist University; and
  • Derek Parker, track and field – University of Missouri.

  • Ailyn Carbajal, soccer – University of St. Thomas;
  • Idalia Alarcon, softball – Union University;
  • Maggie Miller, volleyball – University of Mississippi; and
  • Trevor Leon, water polo – Stanford University.
