Athletes sign letters of intent on National Signing Day 2018

Dec. 20, 2018—Sixteen CFISD athletes signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics or were honored for inking their letters during earlier signing periods on National Signing Day, Dec. 19.

For Division I football, the early period for students enrolling at their respective colleges and universities for the 2019-2020 school year began Dec. 19 and runs through Dec. 21. The signing period for Division I basketball (early) and all other Division I and Division II sports began Nov. 14.

The following CFISD athletes signed or plan to sign letters of intent:

Cy-Fair High School

  • Graham Lakin, football – U.S. Air Force Academy.

Cypress Falls High School

  • TJ Goodwin, football – University of Texas at El Paso; and
  • Jada Chambers, track – University of Tennessee.

Langham Creek High School

  • April Espinoza, softball – Galveston College;
  • Austin Berry, baseball – Weatherford College;
  • Caleb Schulz, baseball – Blinn College;
  • Jacob Zettel, baseball – Dallas Christian College;
  • Briley Perkins, basketball – St. Mary’s University;
  • Dyani Robinson, basketball – Texas A&M University-Commerce;
  • Gabrielle Gonzales, cross country/track – Texas Lutheran University;
  • Erin Kelley, soccer – Southwestern University;
  • Corien Azema, football – Northwestern University; and
  • Chris Herron, football – Kansas State University.

Jersey Village High School

  • Patrick Paul, football – University of Houston; and
  • Cydni Miller, volleyball – Prairie View A&M University.
