Bears stand at 4-0 with last second victory over Cy Woods

CYPRESS — It came down to the wire, as the Bears of Bridgeland ® High School managed to surpass a frisky clowder of Wildcats, 35-28, last Friday night in Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.

The final score came with 19 seconds standing on the game clock.

Editor’s note: Phlox Photography caught the reaction to the final victory play perfectly – see embedded social media post below.

The victory moved the Bears to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in league play this season, while dropping Cy Woods to 2-2 and 1-1 in District 16-6A.

The Bears are scheduled to battle Cy Ranch (2-1, 1-0) on Thursday of this week at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium at 6:30 p.m. However, the Mustangs were corralled by a COVID-19 outbreak last week. As of Tuesday afternoon, the Battle of Fry Road is still slated for its original time.

The Wildcats have the Langham Creek Lobos (2-2, 1-1) on tap for Thursday at Ken Pridgeon Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
