Black man found dead with gunshot wound


KATY — According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, on Oct. 3, 2020, at  approximately 1:15 a.m., the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office was dispatched to 2099 John Crump Road in reference to a single vehicle accident.

Editor’s note: The HCSO had not positively identified the victim and released his name at the time of the press release.

Upon arrival a deceased black male with a gunshot wound was found in the driver’s seat of a dark blue, older model, four door, BMW. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation.

At this time, the circumstances of the murder are unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers.
