Barricaded shooter incident leaves two dead, two injured north of Katy


KATY — According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, “on Friday, June 11th, at approximately 9:15 p.m., HCSO patrol units were dispatched to a shooting in the 24900 blk of Acadia Park Cir.  Upon their arrival, they found two females outside the residence with gunshot wounds.  The females, an elderly mother and adult daughter, reported that the husband of the daughter had shot himself during an argument.  The adult son of this couple then shot his mother and was barricaded in the home.

HCSO SWAT units arrived at the location and cleared the residence, finding both the husband and his adult son, deceased inside the residence from apparent self inflicted gunshot wounds.  It is believed the son shot his mother and grandmother before shooting himself.  Homicide investigators are attempting to determine the cause of the disturbance which lead to the shootings.  All involved parties to the shooting are believed to be accounted for and investigators are not looking for any additional suspects.

The mother and grandmother were both transported to the hospital and are expected to survive at this time.  Identification of all parties is pending next of kin notifications.”




KATY — Harris County Sheriff’s Office SWAT is headed to a barricaded house just south of Morton Road, the evening of June 11, 2021.

Initial reports are that a man has shot possibly two people in the house at the 24900 block of Acadia Park in the greater Katy area.
