The Bears football team played its first varsity season in 2018. The Bears have advanced to the playoffs the last three seasons, including 2020’s appearance in the Region II semifinals.

“Our community is absolutely amazing,” Bears Head Coach David Raffield said following the win. “The community of Bridgeland® High School and the things they do for us—from the turkey legs on Thursday to the sendoff on Saturday—are unbelievable. They’re the reason we’re able to be successful.”

The Bears are the fifth CFISD football team to reach the regional finals since 2016, with the Bears following Cypress Ridge (2016), Cy-Fair (2017 and 2018), Langham Creek (2017) and Cypress Creek (2018 and 2019) high schools.
