CFISD school is canceled, but playoffs drive on


The Cypress-Fairbanks ISD announced that despite school cancellations, sports in playoffs will continue to have their games today and Saturday. Players and fans should expect times and locations to change (see below).

Below is the updated weekend athletics schedule:

State Track Meet
– No changes.

Softball Playoffs
– Cypress Ranch vs Oak Ridge (single-game series), May 10 at 3 p.m. at Grand Oaks HS (4800 Riley Fuzzel Road, Spring).

Baseball Playoffs
– Cy-Fair vs Tompkins (best-of-three series): Game 1, May 10 at 1 p.m. at Premier Baseball Facility (20230 Cypress Rosehill Road, Tomball); Game 2, May 11 at 10 a.m. at Anahuac HS (804 Cummings St. in Anahuac); and Game 3 (if necessary), May 11 at 4 p.m. at Anahuac HS;

– Cypress Ranch vs Klein Collins (single-game series), May 10 at 1 p.m. at Grand Oaks HS; and

– Cypress Woods vs The Woodlands (best-of-three series, tied 1-1): Game 3, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Grand Oaks HS.
