CFISD Student of the Week: Amatullah Hassanali


Rennell Elementary School fourth grade student Amatullah Hassanali is praised by her teachers for being engaged, positive and always on task as a CFISD Connect student this year.

Age: 9

Grade: 4

Accomplishments: Hassanali is a CFISD Connect student and is credited for being a great role model for her fellow students demonstrating SOAR (safe, on task, accountable and respectful) behavior through Zoom. Hassanali is always willing to help answer questions throughout lessons and is an honor roll student.

Favorite class: “I like Ms. [Katherine] Fogle’s class because she creates a fun and interesting lass environment.”

Favorite things to do after class: “I like to ride my bike and roller skate. I enjoy playing on the trampoline and playing ball with my brother.”

Favorite song: How You Like That, by Blackpink.”

Favorite website/app: “YouTube, because of all the fun and educational videos that I can watch. I also like ABCya! because of all the fun games I can play.”

Favorite TV show: “I enjoy watching Victorious because it’s funny and interesting.”

Favorite movie: Maleficent 2, because it’s a fairytale and has an interesting story.”

Ambition: “I am ambitious about gymnastics. It helps me to be flexible and fit. I watch the gymnasts compete in the Olympics and I hope that one day I will make it there.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about reading. I enjoy reading mystery books because they are very interesting.”

What inspires you?: “Art inspires me to be creative and think outside the box. My dad inspires me to play more sports.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “I can’t live without my family, friends and my globe collection which holds memories of every country or city that I have visited.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am looking forward to learning new things, making new friends and new memories.”
