CFISD Student of the Week: Hailey Dickey


CYPRESS — Salyards Middle School eighth grade student Hailey Dickey is recognized as a straight-A student, leader on and off the volleyball court and for being a Fellowship of Christian Athletes officer.

Grade: 8

Accomplishments: Dickey is a member of the Salyards volleyball A team and is on a top team at Texas Tornados Volleyball Club. Dickey also runs track.

Favorite class: “Algebra, because it is easy and I have a great teacher.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Play volleyball, hangout with friends and family, and going to church.”

Favorite website/app: “Pinterest.”

Favorite TV show: Friends, because it is so funny.”

Favorite movie: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, because I grew up watching it with my family and we watch it every year.”

Ambition: “I would like to be an engineer or have a career in finance because I love math.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “My faith, my family and volleyball.”

What inspires you?: “Sadie Robertson and counselors from my summer camp.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “Faith, family and volleyball.”
