CYPRESS — Cy-Fair High School senior Jaidyn Turner has been a decorated member of the school’s orchestra, which includes earning all-area honors in the 2019-2019 school year and all-region honors in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years.

Accomplishments: Turner received a First Division rating at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest and earned both all-area and all-region honors during her high school career with the Cy-Fair High School orchestra.
Favorite class: “Orchestra, because I want to go to school for music, either playing or teaching professionally.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I like to tend to my plants or take car rides with my best friends.”

Favorite website/app: “TikTok because it is more accessible to the average person (more so than a platform like YouTube.com) and I have found tons of underground artists from it.”
Favorite TV Show: “Atypical because it sheds light on how people on the spectrum are treated.”
Favorite movie: “What We Do in the Shadows because I think it is hilarious and I love Halloween and anything with vampires and werewolves.”
Ambition: “I want to be happy in life. I want to be creatively fulfilled and at peace with the realization that I won’t be happy all the time.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Music, the environment and women’s and animal rights.”
Who inspires you?: “My sister.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Music, instruments and my siblings.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “The virtual socials and retreats we are planning in orchestra.”
