CFISD Student of the Week: Kaylee Spears

Farney Elementary School fifth grade student Kaylee Spears is praised by teachers for being a great role model for CFISD Connect students.

School: Farney Elementary School

Age: 10

Grade: 5

Accomplishments: Spears has danced in multiple recitals, is an awesome little sister, a soccer champion and has passed all her STAAR tests. Spears is also a technology assistant this year, helping students troubleshoot problems by sharing her screen.

Favorite class: “Math is my favorite subject because I love learning about numbers and we play fun learning games.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Dance.”

Favorite song: “Anything Beyoncé.”

Favorite website/app: “Prodigy, because it is an interactive game that helps me with my math. I also like getting the questions right so I can cast spells.”

Favorite TV show: “Raven’s Home, because it is a hilarious show and it keeps me entertained.”

Favorite movie: “Jumanji, because it has adventures and the characters are very funny. I also like all the special effects in the action scenes.”

Ambition: “I want to have a successful career in fashion design and I also want to run track.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “My family and friends.”

What inspires you?: “My parents.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, McDonald’s and my friends.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am looking forward to making new friends and making the honor roll. I am also excited about this being my last year in elementary school and making wonderful memories with my friends and teachers.”
