CFISD Student of the Week: Leo Torres


CYPRESS — Hancock Elementary School second grade student Leo Torres is praised by his teachers for always being on time, being responsible and staying on top of his work.

Grade: 2

Accomplishments: Torres’ teachers commend him for making progress in all his classes and dyslexia intervention despite challenges presented during the spring 2020 semester. He’s always on time for his CFISD Connect classes and reminds his teachers when class is about to end so he can be on time to his next class or lesson.

Favorite class: “Reading and working on my dyslexia lessons.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Playing video games, especially Fortnite.”

Favorite TV show: Dragons: Riders of Berk.”

Favorite movie: “It’s about a person that turns into a toy, but I don’t remember the name of it.”

Ambition: “I want to be a game warden when I grow up.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Helping people.”

What inspires you?: “I like helping people and making them feel good. I also like being kind.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, food and water.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Reading and learning more.”
