CYPRESS TEXAS — CFISD recently received a 2018 Laserfiche Run Smarter Award as an achievement for the district’s innovative approach to managing content and automating processes.
Laserfiche is a global provider for enterprise content management software, which allows organizations to better take control of information and processes for invoices. The result is improved efficiency and decision-making, enabling organizations to better focus on serving their constituents.
CFISD has worked with Laserfiche to help refine processes and implement digital automation, resulting in saved time and resources. This is significant for a district that adds approximately 1,200 new hires each year.
“Winning the Laserfiche Run Smarter Award is a great honor,” said John Crumbley, CFISD director of information services. “This prestigious award celebrates the transformation made in CFISD’s Onboarding Process, enabling Business Continuity, even in the midst of Hurricane Harvey. Being recognized as the world leader in K-12 business automation is the highlight of my career.”

The award began in 2005 to recognize organizations for innovative uses of technology. CFISD and other 2018 recipients were announced in February during the Laserfiche Empower Conference.
“Through its vision and leadership, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is demonstrating the future of work, which supports collaboration, innovation and ingenuity,” Laserfiche President Karl Chan said. “This forward-thinking approach to operations is positioning Cypress-Fairbanks ISD as a leader in public education. This recognition is well deserved – congratulations.”
