CFVFD, ESD 48 battle house fire north of Katy


NORTH OF KATY — Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire in the 4200 block of Hawk Meadow Drive in the Cypress Meadows subdivision north of Katy early Wednesday morning, July 10, 2019.

According to CFVFD, two occupants exited their home before fire department arrival. They were both evaluated by Cy-Fair EMS and one was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

According to CFVFD, the first arriving crews reported fire from an attached garage. Crews attacked the fire and completed a primary search to ensure all occupants were out of the structure.

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

The Harris County ESD 48 Fire Department assisted with mutual-aid at the incident.
