From police reports:
CYPRESS — On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Glennell Williams was operating a yellow 2002 Honda CBR600 F4i westbound in the 16300 block of FM 529.
Eloisa Maldonado was operating a silver 2002 Honda Pilot southbound through a parking lot in the 16300 block of FM 529, on the north side of the roadway.
Maldonado failed to yield right of way from the private driveway, entered the roadway, and traveled across all three westbound lanes of traffic, in an attempt to enter the center turn lane.
Williams’ vehicle struck the driver’s side rear of the Maldonado’s vehicle, Williams separated from it, and was found at rest in the center turn lane.
Williams was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. On Friday, November 23, 2018, at approximately 1400 hours, Williams was declared brain dead while a patient at Memorial Hermann Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained from the crash.
This case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
