HARRIS COUNTY — On January 4, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 1900 block of North Sam Houston Parkway in reference to a road rage incident between two drivers that turned into a weapons disturbance.

Responding Constable Deputies observed the suspect vehicle tailgating the complainant’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed that while they were traveling, the suspect, identified as Gene Treece pointed a handgun at the complainant after he almost crashed into him.

The complainant stated he was in fear for his life and quickly contacted 911. The complainant described the weapon used to Constable Deputies and the weapon found in Gene Treece’s vehicle matched the description given.

“Gene Treece was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon,” Herman said. “His bond was set at $30,000.00 out of the 263rd District Court.”
