Constables arrest man for unlawfully carrying weapon


CYPRESS — A deputy with Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 9800 block of FM 1960 Road, yesterday.

According to the precinct, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle, on August 7, 2019. The driver and passenger, identified as Devonte Jennings, were detained. During a search, the deputy located marijuana and a .45 caliber handgun in the passenger’s possession.

“Devonte Jennings was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon,” stated Herman. “His bond is set at $100.00 out of the County Court 13.”
