CYPRESS — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office announced that a 19-year-old male died as a result of a gun shot wound in the 8450 Point Park Drive, July 16, 2019.

The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition, before passing at the hospital.

“Deputies and EMS arrived, they confirmed the male was shot and transported him to North Cypress Hospital where he was pronounced deceased,” said HCSO Sgt. D. Wolfford. “Preliminarily, we’ve learned that there was a disturbance at an apartment. That disturbance then carried downstairs. The disturbance upstairs was with a male. Right now it’s unknown where he gained entrance to the apartment or not.

“He became involved with an altercation with a male in a black vehicle. Witnesses then heard gunshots. That same male suspect then ran away. His whereabouts are unknown at this time. That suspect (in the driver’s seat of the vehicle) in the car was then shot and transported to North Cypress Hospital and pronounced deceased.”
