CYPRESS — The Cypress Creek High School high school girls’ basketball team advanced past the regional semifinals of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional championship game for third time since 2018, while Langham Creek High School concluded its season.

Cypress Creek defeated Humble Summer Creek, 70-41.

The Cougars advance to face Alvin Shadow Creek at 6 p.m. on March 2 at Katy ISD’s Merrell Center (6301 S. Stadium Lane). The regional championship appearance is the second consecutive for Cypress Creek and third since 2018.


Cypress Creek game tickets are $5 each (adults and students) will be sold through Katy ISD. All guests and spectators will be subject to Katy ISD’s clear bag policy.

Langham Creek High School was defeated by DeSoto, 74-41. The Lobos were District 16-6A co-champions and finished as regional semifinalists.
