CYPRESS — Cy-Fair Fire Department crews responded to a one-alarm fire in the 20200 block of Pioneer Ridge Drive in the Tealbrook Subdivision early Wednesday morning in Cypress.
According to CFFD, the first crews on the scene reported fire and smoke visible from the garage extending to a vehicle in the driveway. Residents were awakened by the fire and were able to escape the home. Two residents were evaluated on-scene by medics for breathing problems.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the cause of the fire and the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by a failure in a light fixture in the garage. The fire has been ruled accidental/electrical. #MutualAid https://t.co/t955syks8X
