Cy-Fair picked as No. 8 in Texas

CYPRESS — Reigning state champion Cy-Fair received respect in this year’s edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine with a pair of top-tier rankings.

The Bobcats fill the number eight slots in both the magazine’s rankings and the coaches’ poll. It’s rare to have such high honors for any school district, but having three schools in the top 40 of any esteemed list is a tough achievement for any district.

The expanded cover of the 2018 Texas Football magazine.

Keeping the champs warm are No. 29 Langham Creek and No. 34 Cy-Ranch.

Sitting on the top of both poles is Allen, located in a suburb north of Dallas. The coaches have Katy picked as second best in Texas, with Lake Travis at third. However, the magazine transposed those rankings with Lake Travis with silver and Katy at bronze.

The magazine was recently released, but ordering your own copy from www.texasfootball.com is your safest bet to secure a copy.
