CYPRESS — The Cypress Park and Cypress Woods high school boys’ basketball teams advanced past the regional quarterfinal round of the UIL class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional semifinals, while the Cypress Creek, Cypress Lakes and Cypress Ranch high school concluded their seasons.

Cypress Park High School defeated Cypress Ranch, 69-67, in five overtimes. The Tigers advance to face Duncanville at 7 p.m. on March 2 at Fairfield High School (631 Post Oak Road) in Fairfield, Texas. Cypress Park is the designated visiting team.

Cypress Woods High School defeated Cypress Lakes, 45-36. The Wildcats advance to face Waxahachie at 6:30 p.m. on March 2 at Temple High School (415 N. 31st Street) in Temple, Texas. Cypress Woods is the designated home team.

Tickets for all games are $5 each (adults and students).

Cypress Park game tickets will be sold at the door. There is a limit of 395 tickets available for Cypress Park spectators.

Cypress Woods game tickets will be sold through Temple ISD.

Cypress Creek High School was defeated by Fort Bend Ridge Point, 41-39. The Cougars were District 17-6A champions and finished their season as regional quarterfinalists.

Cypress Ranch was District 16-6A’s second seed and finished its season as regional quarterfinalists.

Cypress Lakes was District 16-6A’s fourth seed and finished its season as regional quarterfinalists.
