CYPRESS — Scouts from the area attended a flag retirement service outside the Langham Creek Ace Hardware to honorably retire unservicable flags Saturday afternoon.

 

CubScout Pack 1445 hosted a Scout Flag Day and Flag Retirement Ceremony in the parking lot of the Langham Creek Ace Hardware June 15, 2019.

The scouts retired three 20-foot flags that once flew over the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Berry Center.

The keynote speaker of the service was former Houston Astros sports announcer, Bill Brown, who delivered a speech on the history and significance of the United States flag to a crowd of veterans, Cy-Fair VFD firefighters and crew members, first responders, scouts, and members of the community.
