CYPRESS — Cypress-Fairbanks ISD wrapped up its regular football season Dec. 3, claiming two outright district championships and qualifying seven teams to the UIL Class 6A postseason.

Cy-Fair High School finished 7-0 in District 17-6A to claim an undefeated league championship for the second consecutive season. Bridgeland ® High School posted a 7-0 mark in District 16-6A, earning the program’s first-ever league title.

For Cy-Fair, it was the Bobcats’ third outright championship in four years.

Cypress Ranch High School finished one game behind Bridgeland with a 6-1 mark, while Cypress Woods High School posted a 5-2 mark in District 16-6A play. Cypress Park High School placed fourth with a 4-3 record to earn the program’s first postseason berth. All three join Bridgeland in advancing to the playoffs.

Cypress Ranch and Cypress Woods will be 16-6A’s Division I representatives, while Bridgeland and Cypress Park will participate in the Division II-6A bracket.

In 17-6A, Spring Branch ISD’s Memorial High School finished in second place. Cypress Creek and Jersey Village high schools both posted 4-3 records in league play, with the Cougars placing third due to their head-to-head victory.

Cy-Fair and Jersey Village will be 17-6A’s Division I playoff teams, while Cypress Creek will participate in the Division II-6A bracket.

2020 Bi-District Championship schedule:

  • Bridgeland ® High School is scheduled to play Klein Collins on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium (8877 Barker Cypress Road);
  • Cy-Fair is scheduled to play Houston Westside on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at Pridgeon Stadium (11355 Falcon Road);
  • Cypress Park is scheduled to play Tomball Memorial on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at Tomball ISD Stadium (13620 Zion Road);
  • Cypress Woods is scheduled to play Klein Cain on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at Klein Memorial Stadium (16607 Stuebner-Airline Road);
  • Cypress Ranch is scheduled to play Klein Oak on Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium; and
  • Jersey Village is scheduled to play Houston Bellaire on Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at Houston ISD’s Delmar Stadium (1900 Mangum Road).
  • Cypress Creek is scheduled to play Houston Heights on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. at Delmar Stadium.

How to buy tickets for Cy-Fair FCU Stadium and Ken Pridgeon Stadium games:

For games at Cy-Fair FCU and Pridgeon stadiums, ticketing procedures will be the same from the regular season. Online ticket sales for participating families will begin Dec. 6 and continue through Monday, Dec. 7. Any remaining tickets will be made available to the general public beginning Tuesday, Dec. 8. Tickets can be accessed on the cy-fairtix.com website.

For Cypress Park’s road playoff game Tomball ISD Stadium, tickets will be sold through Tomball ISD.

For Cypress Woods’ road playoff game at Klein Memorial Stadium, tickets will be sold through Klein ISD. Online sales begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7.

Pre-sale tickets for games at Cy-Fair FCU and Pridgeon stadiums, and involving District 16-6A teams will be sold for $7 (adults) and $5 (students) apiece, while tickets at the gate will be sold for $10 apiece.

Tickets for the Cypress Creek and Jersey Village road playoff games at Delmar Stadium will be sold through Houston ISD and are $7 (adults and students). No tickets will be sold at the gate.
