Cypress high school volleyball season ends with Lady Bears’ third-round loss


CYPRESS — The Cypress Bridgeland ® High School volleyball team advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs to the region quarterfinal, while Cypress Creek, Cy-Fair and Cypress Ranch high schools concluded their seasons in the area round.

The Bridgeland ® volleyball team defeated Conroe Oak Ridge in five sets by the scores of 14-25, 25-20, 25-22, 10-25 and 15-13. The Bears advanced to face Klein High School in the region quarterfinal on Nov. 28 at Klein Cain High School. Bridgeland ® High School was swept by Klein in three sets by the scores of 25-15, 25-15 and 25-17. The Bears finish the season as area champions and region quarterfinalist.

Cypress Creek was swept by Katy Seven Lakes in three sets by the scores of 25-14, 25-20 and 25-16.

Cy-Fair was defeated by Katy Cinco Ranch in four sets by the scores of 25-22, 25-11, 23-25 and 27-25.

Cypress Ranch was swept by The Woodlands ® High School in three sets by the scores of 25-17, 25-23 and 25-18.

The Cougars, Bobcats and Mustangs all finished the season as bi-district champions.
