Cypress house broken into, man dead in street

CYPRESS — Early Thanksgiving morning, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called about a man found in the middle of the street.

According to a HCSO homicide investigator, HCSO deputies responded to the call at 4:57 a.m.

The Cy-Fair Fire Department provided emergency medical services for the incident.

“EMS responded and pronounced the male as deceased,” said Ruben Martinez, HCSO Homicide Investigator. “When deputies arrived, they did clear the victim’s house, and it appeared to be forced entry. But he was located outside, deceased from a gunshot wound. We are following up with all the homes in the area with video surveillance systems.”

The officer explained that the HCSO didn’t have suspect information to release to the public so far this morning. Anyone with information that could help in the investigation was urged to contact Crime Stoppers, call 713-222-8477.
