Cypress IDEA Lab Kids Opens Location to Storm-Impacted Families, Offering Warm Space and Free Kids Activities


CYPRESS – IDEA Lab Kids, the leader in the STEAM education space, is inviting winter storm-impacted families to its Cypress location from 1:00-4:00 p.m Saturday February 20th to Sunday February 21st from 12:00-3:00p.m to stay warm, charge electronics and take a break while staff entertains children with free STEAM activities and experiments.

IDEA Lab Kids Cypress, located at 11808 Barker Cypress Rd Ste C, Cypress, TX, will stay open over the weekend to allow families to recover from the storm’s impact and alleviate parents’ stress while power is still being restored throughout Texas.

IDEA Lab Kids locations in Aliana, Pearland, Austin, Spring Branch, 8404 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX and Bellaire, 5410 Bellaire Blvd, Bellaire, TX will be open this weekend as well. The Bellaire location will be open today Friday, February 19th from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

“We know many of you are struggling right now, and we are right here beside you. As a Houston-based business, our friends, families, homes and businesses have also been affected,” said IDEA Lab Kids CEO Devina Bhojwani. “On Friday February 19th, we will open our doors up for you to drop your children off at one of our participating Texas Idea Lab Kids locations for free. We know that families have plenty to worry about with no electricity, busted water pipes, no water etc. Let us help relieve some stress by providing some normalcy and fun for the children while you take care of some of these other issues.”

IDEA Lab Kids cares about the community and wants to make a difference in as many children’s lives as possible. Following COVID-19 safety procedures and protocols, temperatures will be checked at the door, masks will be worn at all times and hands will be washed upon arrival.
