Cypress mother dies from car crash resulting from driver’s seizure


CYPRESS — A Cypress mother died from injuries in a car crash resulting from a driver’s seizure, Friday, July 20, 2018.
The traffic fatality report states that Elizabeth Lugo was pushing her child in a stroller on the sidewalk in the 21100 block of Wildcroft when Ali Asghar suffered a seizure at approximately 8 a.m. Asghar’s red Toyota Camry left the roadway traveling eastbound on Summit Lodge Drive and struck both Lugo and her child.
The vehicle then crashed into a nearby house.
Lugo would later die at Cy Fair Hospital at 1:10 a.m. on July 22.
No further information about her child was released at this time.
