CYPRESS — After breaking out of a three-way tie for the District 14-6A championship, the Cy Ranch Mustang volleyball team is in control of its destiny as we reach the final weeks of the regular season.
On the northern half of 290, Cy-Fair has command of District 17-6A, with an 11-0 league record.
If playoff berths were decided last Friday night, District 14-6A would have seen Cy Ranch, Tomball Memorial, Langham Creek and Bryan advance. From the northern District 17-6A, Cy-Fair, Memorial and Stratford would have taken the top three seeds. Cy Creek and Cy Ridge were tied at 6-5 in league play. Luckily, with more matches between now and the district certification date, there is a good chance that one team will be able to have a decisive record.
