Cypress walks in memory of Deputy Goforth, other Houston-area fallen officers

CYPRESS — When it happened, the community shaken by the event promised not to forget. Every year we walk in the memory of Deputy Goforth and every year the memorial walk brings more meaning to each of us.

The second annual memorial walk is scheduled for next Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at the Deputy Darren Goforth Park, located at 9402 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, Texas 77433 (links to Google Maps). Registration for the event starts at 7:30 a.m., however the walk is planned to begin at 9 a.m.

This year we walk in memory of Deputy Goforth and other fallen Houston-area officers. This is more than just a walk. This is an event that brings the community and law enforcement together and allows the community to walk hand-in-hand, arm-in-arm, alongside of those that serve and protect us each and every day. Show up and show your support.

The walk is organized by DMF (DeputyMemorialFund.org). You can purchase event-shirts online (click link).
Proceeds go to Deputy Memorial Fund.
