CYPRESS TEXAS — On April 12, 2019, a known male driving a 2001 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound in the 10200 block of Fry Road at a high rate of speed.
Editor’s note: Next of kin had not been notified as of our publishing time, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office has not released the driver’s name yet.
According to police reports, the male failed to drive in a single lane and left the roadway. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise and its right back quarter struck a fire hydrant.
The vehicle rotated the other direction until it was traveling broadside at which time it struck a power pole with its rear driver door.
The collision caused significant damage to the vehicle and the male did not survive the crash.
This crash is being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
