CYPRESS — In a lunchtime special called meeting, the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD board of trustees again made changes to the upcoming school calendar, today (July 21, 2020).

This time, the first day of school for Cypress students was pushed back to Sept. 8, 2020.

According to the district, the delay also buys more time to distribute its CFISD LTE 1:1 Chromebooks and cellular hotspot devices. (Read about the $44 million purchase here.)

Additionally, CFISD says that teachers will return to duty on Aug. 14, 2020, for their professional development days.
