Grupo Herrera Restaurants are family-owned offering high quality sit down restaurant experiences, to-go ordering, delivery, full-service catering and private event hosting. Grupo Herrera Restaurants was founded by David Herrera and his wife, Alicia; together, along with their three sons Marvin, Ubaldo, and Dario, they are all hands-on operators of the four unique restaurant concepts. David Herrera began working in the restaurant industry as a waiter and quickly learned about all areas of the business, fueling his dream of owning a restaurant to support his community and provide for his family for generations to come. In 2006, the Herrera’s opened Alicia’s Mexican Grille, named after David’s wife. Alicia’s is noted as one of Houston’s finest Tex-Mex restaurants offering delicious Mexican cuisine made with only the freshest, high-quality ingredients, along with house-made margaritas and a full bar. There are five Alicia’s locations around Houston (Cypress, Spring, Katy, Royal Oaks, and Sugar Land). Dario’s Steakhouse & Seafood, named for their youngest son Dario, opened in 2009 offering Certified Angus steaks, succulent seafood, and an exceptional, premium wine selection in a fine dining setting. Marvino’s Italian Kitchen, named for their oldest son Marvin opened in 2015, offering authentic Italian in a beautiful atmosphere with impeccable service. Galiana’s Tex Mex and Agave Bar, named after their granddaughters, is the newest scratch-kitchen concept in Cypress that opened late spring 2020 and is offering select, Tex Mex dishes with unexpected flavors and ingredients inspired by decades of the family’s travels and dining around various regions of Mexico. The Herreras pride themselves on fresh, high-quality ingredients, knowing guests will taste the difference. Grupo Herrera Restaurants also caters weddings and host wedding events – more details are available at herrerarestaurants.com/weddings. Specific restaurant information, menus, hours of operation, takeout and delivery options, private event, and catering information, and reward programs can be found on each restaurant’s website.
