KATY — Constable Ted Heap and William Skeen, the Executive Director of The 100 Club Houston, honored five Precinct 5 deputies as 100 Club Officers Of The Year.

Precinct 5 is one of multiple law enforcement agencies that share policing duties of southern Cypress, generally south of Highway 290, and is headquartered in the Katy area.

The club honored Sergeants Lance Anderson, Orlando Trevino and David Alaniz along with Deputies Brian Williams and Heath Lawson.

Anderson, Trevino, Alaniz and Lawson helped save the life of a man whose car caught fire after crashing into a tree in December. Additionally, two citizens were honored by Heap (click to see the article).

Williams was shot while trying to stop an aggravated robbery in October. The precinct expects that he will be returning to duty this week.

According to the precinct, each of these deputies put their own lives at risk to save others’ lives.
