Free ESL classes offered to CFISD parents

CYPRESS — Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents.

The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introductory, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class. Below is the class schedule:

  • Saturday morning classes will begin Jan. 26 from 8 a.m. to noon at Owens Elementary School (7939 Jackrabbit Rd.) and Bane Elementary School (5804 Premier St.). Classes will continue on Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23, and March 2, 23 and 30.
  • Monday and Wednesday classes will begin Jan. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thornton Middle School (19802 Kieth Harrow Blvd.). Classes will continue on each Monday and Wednesday through March 27.

Child care will not be provided during the ESL classes. For more information, call 281-517-6387.
