Harmony phasing in in-person learning for Cypress families choosing traditional option


CYPRESS — Harmony Science Academy – Cypress today announced that it will begin “in-person” classes for students’ families wishing to return to the traditional education model.

The school will phase in the transition with students arriving in two weeks on Sept. 21.

However, families wishing to keep their students at home will be able to continue.

 

Tuesday, 9/8/20 through Friday, 9/11/20

· All students are learning remotely.

· Only essential staff reports to the campus daily.

· All meals are delivered curbside on Monday mornings only.

Monday, 9/14/20 through Friday, 9/18/20

· All students are learning remotely.

· All staff reports to the campus daily.

· All meals are delivered curbside on Monday mornings only.

· Final preparation for safe and secure school reopening for “in-person” virtual learning.

Begins Monday, 9/21/20

· “In-person” learning begins for students who chose this option on the “Return to School” survey.

· All other students (including newly enrolled students) are learning remotely.

· Teachers give virtual instruction from the classroom with a small group of assigned students.

· All students learning “in-person” must wear a mask at all times.

· All students learning “in-person” must bring a Chromebook or laptop with headphones.

· All students learning “in-person” will be served breakfast and lunch in their assigned classroom.

· Meals will be delivered curbside on Monday mornings only for students that continue learning remotely.
