CYPRESS TEXAS — The quick actions of Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies and officers of the Cy-Fair ISD Police are credited with arrest of six juveniles who were attempting to burglarize a home in the Brenwood Park Subdivision in far west Harris County.
District 4 deputies were dispatched to an in progress call at a residence in the 19200 block of Sandleford drive. The caller stated that six males were attempting to enter a home. The juvenile males did kick open the front door of the residence.
Responding deputies were at the home within minutes, and all the juvenile males fled the backyard of the residence to the baseball fields of Cypress Lakes High School.
Cy-Fair ISD police officers were alerted, after the males were fleeing from deputies on school grounds. There was a temporary lockdown put in place at Cy Lakes High School and the adjacent McFee Elementary School.
At approximately 9:05 this morning we were put on lockout due to an issue in the surrounding areas. Classes continued as usual. The lockout was lifted at 9:32. All students and staff are safe.
