HCSO, CFISD officers capture juveniles in attempted home burglary near Cy Lakes High School

CYPRESS TEXAS — The quick actions of Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies and officers of the Cy-Fair ISD Police are credited with arrest of six juveniles who were attempting to burglarize a home in the Brenwood Park Subdivision in far west Harris County.

District 4 deputies were dispatched to an in progress call at a residence in the 19200 block of Sandleford drive. The caller stated that six males were attempting to enter a home. The juvenile males did kick open the front door of the residence.

Responding deputies were at the home within minutes, and all the juvenile males fled the backyard of the residence to the baseball fields of Cypress Lakes High School.

Cy-Fair ISD police officers were alerted, after the males were fleeing from deputies on school grounds. There was a temporary lockdown put in place at Cy Lakes High School and the adjacent McFee Elementary School.

Cy-Fair officers detained four juveniles who attempted to evade them. All six juveniles were detained after a short while, and transported back to the original scene. The lockdown was lifted after there was no danger present to children or staff.

All six are currently being detained pending evading charges on them.
The great work and cooperation by Cy-Fair ISD Police and Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies resulted in the swift apprehension of the suspects.

The sheriff later updated his message, stating the remaining suspects were apprehended and the lockdowns were lifted.
