HARRIS COUNTY — According to police reports, on Friday, April 19, 2019 at approximately 2:25 a.m., deputies responded to an in-progress call at an apartment complex located at 14300 Ella Blvd.
Upon arrival they discovered a vehicle crashed into a downstairs apartment with the driver unresponsive.
The driver identified as Adrian Ward, 30, was discovered to have sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Deputies spoke with several residents at the complex who stated they heard several gunshots before hearing a loud crash.
Homicide investigators arrested Davonte Garrison, 22, with the robbery and shooting death of Ward.
Garrison is currently booked into the Harris County Jail charged with Capital Murder.
