HCSO charges suspect for Uber passenger murder near T.C. Jester


HARRIS COUNTY — Homicide investigators have charged 25-year-old Neilo Jhaman Johnson with murder, for the shooting death of a local man on Friday April 26, 2019, in north Harris County.


According to police reports, HCSO District 1 patrol units arrived at the southeast corner of W. FM 1960 and T.C. Jester where a black male complainant now identified as James Grant Booker, was found in the back seat of a Jeep Compass deceased from several gunshot wounds.

An Uber driver was picking up a Booker at a residence, when Johnson approached the passenger side window and shot him several times.

The original scene was at the 12500 block Laurel Haven and Laurel Creek.
