HCSO, State troopers engage crew of thieves in Katy

KATY — Harris County Sheriff deputies and state troopers engaged with a group of thieves that were suspects in up to 13 robberies over the past several weeks.

Ed Gonzalez, the county sheriff, said only state troopers fired their weapons.

Of the four suspects, one died on the scene, a second was taken to a hospital where they later died. The remaining two were arrested.

One of the state troopers received minor injuries from broken glass. None of the officers were injured, and no citizens were injured.
