HEMPSTEAD — To make up for this missed instruction time, all Hempstead ISD campuses will add five minutes to the end of their bell schedules starting Monday, March 22, 2021, until the last day of school, Thursday, May 27. Please visit www.hempsteadisd.org for the updated bell schedules.

HISD will follow the Presidential Executive Order of January 21, 2021, requiring international travelers to follow the applicable CDC COVID-19 guidance.

What does this mean for anyone traveling internationally?

• International travelers, regardless of mode of travel, will be required to quarantine upon return.
• Individuals who test for COVID-19 three-to-five days following return from travel must stay home for seven calendar days. Individuals who do not test must stay home and quarantine for ten calendar days.
• HISD families who plan to travel internationally should contact Mabisha Stubblefield, Director of Human Resources, at 979-826-3304 extension 238.

HISD would like to remind anyone traveling, even if traveling domestically, to double check with your destination regarding required rules before you travel.

All HISD students will be required to fill out a COVID-19 Student Screener Form when returning to campuses from Spring Break on Monday, March 22, 2021. Campuses will send home a copy of the form with students on Friday, March 12, 2021. Any questions should be directed to individual campus principals.
