Prohibited items at Katy’s Rhodes Stadium, Legacy Stadium and the Merrell Center

According to the Katy ISD website on Aug. 14, 2018, the clear bag policy for accessing the district’s stadiums was enacted (click for PDF version).

Katy ISD restricts the types of bags visitors may bring into its stadiums and centers. Only clear, plastic vinyl or PVC bags, and plastic Ziploc-style bags up to one gallon in size may be carried in (see image below for more details). The district also allows clutch bags and medically necessary items.

Additionally, Katy ISD prohibits the following items within Legacy Stadium:

  • Air horns / Noisemakers
  • Balloons
  • Banners
  • Flowers
  • Food / Drink
  • Laser Pointers
  • Signs larger than 2’x2′
  • Weapons (concealed and open carry prohibited)
