CYPRESS — The cooler weather elicits talks on warm scarves, healthy grains, beloved baseball and Hamilton, the musical at Lone Star College-CyFair’s Wednesday workshops this February.
The free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library (LRNC room 131 unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress.

- February 12: Cooking with Ancient Grains
Amaranth, chia, kañiwa and quinoa are grains cultivated by the indigenous people of Latin America. Learn about this revived food source and see how delicious and healthful it is from
librarians Tona Espel and Claire Gunnels.
- February 19: Take Me Out to the Ball Game!
Remember the Astro’s Killer B’s? Flubbed pitches? Controversial calls? Award-winning veteran Astros sportscaster Bill Brown shares some of his stories and insider’s knowledge of our beloved baseball team.
