November 11 – Seneca Falls of the South: The 1977 National Women’s
Conference
Held in Houston, this conference is the first and only federally funded National Women’s Conference in U.S. history. The conference set out to revitalize the momentum for women’s suffrage leader Alice Paul’s proposed 1923 Equal Rights Amendment and bridge the gap between women’s voting rights and equality under the law. Have you ever wanted to know how to transform your leftovers into whole new dishes? Need a way to figure out how to make those upcoming Thanksgiving leftovers into something new? Join Missy Dixon, Children’s Librarian, and Diona West, Coordinator III Library, to find out how to spice up your leftovers. They are going to take leftovers from blah to bursting with flavor!
