Lady Mustangs shock Langham Creek

LANGHAM CREEK — Despite having fallen to the Lady Lobos (23-7, 9-2) twice this season, the Cy Ranch Mustangs (24-7, 10-1) pulled the rug out from under Langham Creek when it counted in the second round of District 14-6A play tonight (Jan. 15, 2019).

Langham Creek and Cy Ranch first met during the Katy Tournament and took a close 57-54 decision on Dec. 1. Then three days later the two teams met again for league play on Dec. 4, where the Lobos again took a 49-40 final.

However, the hoops just didn’t like the Lady Lobos tonight, as the Mustangs split the tie-breaker with a 67-36 final score.

The Mustangs were excited about pulling into the undisputed lead of District 14-6A. Cy Ranch heads west and visits CFISD HS #12 on Friday.

However, the Lobos took the loss in stride and were ready to get ready for Friday’s game at Cy Woods.
