Landscape worker found dead in water near Tuckerton / Barker Cypress


CYPRESS — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a man was found dead in the water near the intersection of Tuckerton Road and Barker Cypress Road today (Oct. 14, 2019). While investigators will await the findings of the medical examiner, the HCSO’s official Twitter account stated that “it appears to be accidental at this time.”

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that his office’s investigators were headed to the address of the Kroger Marketplace at that intersection.

“A landscape worker was last seen working in the area this morning around 9:30 a.m.” Gonzalez posted on his Facebook page. “The male was later found deceased in the water near Tuckerton Road / Barker Cypress. Circumstances surrounding his death are unknown.”
