LSC-CyFair Keeps You on Track with Safe, Flexible, Quality Courses

CYPRESS — No matter what career apparel will be worn –  scrubs, a lab coat and stethoscope, firefighter gear, a welder’s jacket with gloves and face shield or even a business suit –  Lone Star College-CyFair is the place to start your future.

LSC-CyFair continues to be the best choice to complete basic core classes with affordable flexibility of day, evening and weekend college options, as well as traditional semester or shorter, fast-track offerings.

Through various articulation agreements, students can easily transfer to numerous Texas colleges and universities to continue their higher education. With multiple partner universities to choose from, students can also earn bachelor, master and doctoral degrees attending those junior, senior and graduate level classes onsite.

For those who want to quickly gain skills in a workforce career, LSC-CyFair offers degree and certificate programs from the medical and manufacturing fields to the digital world of cybersecurity and visual communication.

Many students, whose dream of making a difference on the frontlines and behind the scenes, began at LSC-CyFair.

Completing pre-requisites in 2016 on his path to becoming a neurologist, Paolo Jaime is currently an ICU nurse who is part of the stroke and chest pain committees at HCA Tomball.  Jennifer Contreras has been working for HSE Medical Associates since her externship back in 2006, as well as six others who graduated from the Medical Assistant program.

Two LSC-CyFair alumni Melinda Kaneaster and Eric Martinez used their skills in the community and returned to share their craft as instructors.

Kaneaster, a 2008 Visual Communication Program graduate who wears many hats including graphic designer at SEI Seismic Exchange, is an adjunct instructor at LSC-Westway Park Technology Center. A 2014 Machining Program graduate who worked in various machine shops while earning his degree and teaching part-time at LSC-Cypress Center, Martinez is now a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves and an LSC full-time machining faculty.

Continuing to help students achieve their goals while keeping safety for all a top priority during these uncertain times, LSC-CyFair offers classes with 50% online, 25% hybrid and 25% face to face. Choose classes that fit your comfort level and know LSC-CyFair’s faculty and staff will provide support every step of the way.
