CYPRESS — Children ages 5-12 can experience Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities with the return of STEMtastic Stations at Lone Star College-CyFair.
“Come join us for a morning of fun exploring pressure, circuits and measurements,” said Shamim Arastu, Professor of Education. “Children and parents who’ve attended before really enjoy this program and come back each semester for more.”
LSC-CyFair Education Department pre-service teachers partner with the children’s library to host several hands-on learning events in the Conference Center at 9191 Barker Cypress.
“Participants leave with a take-home experiment and parents will gain some resources they can use with their children to learn more about the morning’s highlighted STEM topics,” said Arastu.
The 10 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. sessions, held Saturday Dec. 8, are limited to 35 participants.
Parents must accompany children to the sessions and are asked to arrive an hour in advance to receive a session ticket.
